As both Co-Founder and chairman of the board, David draws on more than 40 years of diversified leadership experience spanning multiple industries, from engineering and manufacturing to real estate and more recently, social entrepreneurialism. David has a flair for building businesses and watching them quickly grow and flourish, thanks to the bold business strategies he brings to the table as an innovator and leader. The tactical oversight he provides to Moving Mountains Recovery ensures that we are constantly at the top of our game when it comes to providing the best quality of substance abuse care in the nation.
Brenda Strauss

Administrator

Brenda Strauss is our Administrator and earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ramapo College of NJ. Brenda has over 20 years of experience in the business and financial operations of Substance Use and Behavioral Health Programs. Outside of the office, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling, walking/hiking, reading, and volunteering.
Jefferey Thomas

Jefferey Thomas

Chief Executive Officer Co-Founder

As both Founder and CEO of Moving Mountains Recovery, Jefferey has over 9 year of experience in the field of addiction. Jefferey who struggled in and out of court mandated institutions as an adolescent knew when he entered recovery at 18 that he wanted to pursue his dream of opening his hometowns first and only outpatient substance abuse treatment center. Jefferey has passions for art and tattoos at successful tattoo studio he co owns in south Florida in his free time. Jefferey believes this program will assist our patients in creating a new life that is so full of passion that there is no room left for substance abuse.
Alexander Chesher

Chief Marketing Officer Co-Founder

As CMO, Alexander leads a team that shares in the company’s mission of ‘together we can move mountains’ in our clients and their families that starts with the first phone call. Alexander has been thoroughly successful in marketing for what he believes in most, treatment from drugs and alcohol. With 8 years of experience combating the epidemic the nation has faced, he has seamlessly turned a group of people with the same objective into an incontestable team. Alexander’s extensive experience in call centers, healthcare and insurance make him uniquely qualified to oversee the department of admissions and marketing.
Myles Beck

Myles Beck

Director of Client Services Co-Founder

Myles Beck is one the founders of Moving Mountains Recovery. Myles went to Sierra Nevada College for Outdoor Adventure Leadership and Psychology. Myles has 13 years sober after he attended a wilderness program in Utah. Myles has extensive experience in outdoor adventure, such as ski patrol, ropes courses and is a certified sky diving instructor. For fun, Myles favorite activity is traveling to different destinations throughout the US and base jumping off cliffs.
Rachel Fletcher

Rachel Fletcher

Community Liaison

Rachel  began her career in the field of addiction in 2018 working in various positions until she settled in Business development at Moving Mountains Recovery. She loves being on the Moving Mountains team because as an avid rock climber and adventure sports enthusiast she believes it has helped with her own recovery. It is Rachels goal to help individuals struggling with addiction find what makes them want to stay sober and stay present in this beautiful life.
Rima Treynker

Rima Treynker

Director of Admissions

Rima’s passion for recovery came about in 2009 when she began working part time for a local sober living house. With over 12 years of experience in the field, Rima’s expertise is in Admissions, Business Development, and Operations. Her latest venture was Director of Admissions for a well-known facility in Florida before joining the team at Moving Mountains.   Rima loves to collaborate with treatment professionals in the community and bring awareness about addiction and mental health to those in need. On the weekends you can find Rima with her poodle Zoe, practicing yoga, at the beach, or enjoying a nice sweat at the gym.
Janice Hoagland

Janice Hoagland

Financial Controller

Janice Hoagland received her B.S. in Accounting from Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ. Janice has 20+ years of finance & accounting experience but has often felt like she wanted to do more to help people.  That is why she is truly excited to join the Moving Mountains Recovery team to use her financial skills in helping make a difference in the lives of individuals and families struggling with addiction.  Janice is a mother of five, which takes up most of her spare time, but when she does get a moment to herself, she enjoys attending rock concerts, reading, playing board games, thrift store shopping, and traveling.   Janice has taken road trips to 31 US states and has a goal to visit all 49 Continental US States and the 10 Canada Provinces.
Kerry Hamberger

I am excited to be working as a part of the team at Moving Mountains.  I love being back in HR and forming relationships with all the employees and being able to help others.  The novelty of working in Human Resources is every day brings something different. Outside of work I am a mom to one son who is in, college and I am a lifelong resident of Roxbury.  Most of my free time is spent watching his baseball games and if I am not at a field, I like to spend time at the beach and travelling.

The ripple effect of addiction has impacted Jen in ways that has grown her passion to actively help others on their journey of recovery. Jen has a background of working within experiential adventure operations and management. When the opportunity came for Jen to merge her professional experience with her personal passions of helping others, she embraced the challenge and became the Operations Manager of Moving Mountains Recovery. In her spare time, you can find Jen exploring the outdoors. Whether its climbing, rock hounding, mountain biking or traveling with her dogs- Jen is always on the go!

Admissions Representative

Caitlin has always had a passion for helping others. After earning her bachelor’s degree from Miami University of Ohio, she moved around quite a bit to try and find her place in life and 6 years ago, she found her true purpose, working in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health field. Her time and experience spent with clients and families has given her the drive to continue to help those seeking treatment. Making that first call is the biggest step and we know we cannot do this alone. During her time abroad, her zest for adventure came alive and she is excited to bring both worlds together with the admissions team at Moving Mountains Recovery! Outside of work Caitlin loves being on the tennis court and walking her dog, Wilson.

Eric has been humbled by his own struggles with addiction previously in life making him uniquely qualified to reach others in a way most cannot when it comes to the grips of addiction and how to overcome it. Eric has experience in managing sober living homes with men early in recovery and has a knack for building trusting relationships while being a dependable man in his community. Eric is an outgoing, high energy individual, that enjoys brightening the moments of those about him. He enjoys being apart of the process where people recover from addiction because he feels it’s his purpose to help others in life. He wants to see people succeed even though they might have to move mountains to get there! A quote Eric lives by is, “If you have faith in God anything is possible!”
